Job description
The Digital Design Department, IT University of Copenhagen, seeks a part-time lecturer to teach the course ‘Advanced Service Design' in the MSc in Digital Design and Interactive Technologies. The part-time lecturer is expected to support the planning and development of the course syllabus and take part in examination of the students.
‘Advanced Service Design' is a 15 ECTS course that runs twice a week for 14 weeks on the 3th semester of the K-DDIT program, and has approximately 30-40 enrolled students. The course covers a selected set of contemporary topics in service design through a mix of advanced theory and hands-on practice with external case partners. As such, the course requires students to apply service design principles, methods, and processes as well as critically reflect their positioning and experiences as designers in analyzing, designing, and evaluating services.

Salary and terms of employment
Appointment and salary will be in accordance with the Ministry of Taxation’s agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC) and job structure for academic staff at Universities.
Qualification Requirements
The following qualifications are required:
- Candidates should have a MSc (or equivalent) within a relevant field.
- Document experience with teaching, preferably at university level, (including course design and development of teaching materials) in a related topic.
- Have proven experience from working in the industry and/or the public sector with course related topics.
The application and all other documents ought to be in English and must include:
- A motivated application (cover letter), including a detailed description of your qualifications and brief statements of research and teaching plans
- A full CV, including name, address, phone number, e-mail, previous and present employment and academic background
- Documentation of academic degrees (copy of degree certificates etc.)
- Name and contact information of two professional/academic references
The applicant will be accessed according to the Appointment Order from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of 13 March 2012.
The IT University may use shortlisting in connection to the recruitment process. In case of shortlisting, the Chair of the hiring committee selects applicants for assessment in consultation with the hiring committee after the application deadline. All applicants are notified whether their application has been passed for assessment. The shortlisting of candidates for assessment is based on the criteria in the job posting.
