Last year, NTG commenced on another new chapter, as they expand their IT organization within Cybersecurity, IT Services and Business Services. As Azure Engineer you will be tasked to implement our new Azure strategy at NTG.
Description of the department
The IT Services department currently consists of two teams, an Infrastructure and a ServiceDesk team, which consists of 14 employees. During last year, Group IT has grown in all areas and employees were added to the IT Services teams. NTG also expects the department will continue to grow within the next year and you will play a big role in defining and shaping a future IT Services organization that supports NTG’s IT strategy. Overall, NTG seeks to implement a setup based on specialist profiles on a greater scale compared to previously. This, among other things, will also help to greatly impact the goal of establishing a Cloud Center of Excellence.
The IT Services department is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting endpoints, servers, and networks to ensure stable and secure IT operations in a hybrid-cloud environment. They provide technical support and assistance to users within the organization, addressing troubleshooting and problem-solving needs. The department plays a crucial role in integrating and onboarding newly acquired companies into NTG’s systems and services. Additionally, they work closely with the Security Operations Center to proactively address cybersecurity risks.
The IT organization in NTG is a Global IT organization with employees in 9 countries, who supports all NTG’s 80 companies. There is an informal and relaxed culture in NTG where there is great focus on both social- and professional events. Introduction to the position
You will be entering a position in an IT organization with an international outlook, as you will have colleagues in both Europe and Americas. NTG support +80 subsidiaries with more than 130 locations in the EMEA, AMER and APAC regions. At NTG they have a clear strategy to move towards SaaS solutions, Microsoft first and a Modern Workplace setup throughout the organization. They are implementing ITIL processes in Operations and Service to structure and professionalise their IT-setup, and you will be expected to be part of the work both to define and implement.
You will play a pivotal role to design, deploy and manage our Azure solutions, which is being re-designed to meet Best Practice recommendations. Two important tasks is to monitor systems, identify errors and trends that can lead to errors, and automate mitigative actions.
Also, you will take part in on-boarding newly acquired companies in our IT-environments. We aim to do this with a “High Speed – High Volume” approach in order to support NTG overall growth strategy. During the onboarding of acquired companies and their systems, most can be migrated to Azure, while the remaining will be in a separate legacy system, which will be continuously consolidated and transformed, if possible.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to collaborate and receive support from one of our strategic Microsoft implementation partners, enhancing the depth and breadth of your impact. At NTG, where the hierarchy is generally flat, you will enjoy a high degree of freedom to implement innovative ideas and leave a mark on our IT organization.
Requirements
It is imperative that you have:
- At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Azure technologies
- Experience with operation of Azure AD. Furthermore, if you have experience with Conditional Access, Hybrid Azure AD Join, and Azure Information Protection it is an advantage
- Experience with Power Automate or similar
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Furthermore, it is an advantage if you have certifications in Microsoft Endpoint Management and M365. Experience with ITIL is also considered a plus.
